Turkish Forum UK (TFUK) has been established in January 2003 by individuals who are residing in the UK, well acquainted with each other and sharing their vast experience and knowledge about both Turkish and British Societies and their culture.
TFUK works to gather professionals and academics seeking enhancement in social, cultural and economical co-operation between the members of the two societies.
Despite being formed very recently, providing to be a very dynamic and active organisation with performing number of fruitful activities within a short time TFUK has became a leading non governmental organisation by the Turkish minority in the UK aiming to act as a bridge between Turkey, United Kingdom and European Union in cultural, social, economical and commercial areas.

 Aims of the TFUK as per its regulations; Development of social, cultural and economical perception and improvement of relation at all common fields between Turkey and the United Kingdom as well as working for increasing commercial productivity internationally. Contributing to the development pf economical relationships firstly between Turkey and the UK and then Turkey and all other EU nationals and member countries by assisting members in establishing contacts with civil entities from all sides, Working to ensure correct perception of Turks and Turkish Culture by EU member states and nationals, Helping members of Turkish Society in the UK to improve their own social, cultural and economical relationships end values as and when necessary, Assisting UK bound commercial activities from Turkey and create foundation for the improvement of services with added value.

TFUK has organised monthly informative events since its formation and welcomed many important guest speakers from Turkey, United Kingdom, Republic of Northern Cyprus and other European Union member states. Prof. Mehmet Ugur (Chairman Jean Monet desk Greenwich University), Dr. Bahadir Kaleagasi (Brussels permanent representative of Tusiad), Prof. Aydin Dumanoglu (Joint Chairman EU - Turkey Inter-Parliamentary group), Mr. Stephen Twigg MP (Minister of Education responsible for schools), M. Yasar Yakis MP (former Foreign Minister and Chairman of Commission for Turkey’s integration with European Union), Barones Sarah Ludford MEP (Chairman of Cyprus Commission of European Parliament) were some of those guest speakers.
Mr. M. A. Talat, Prime Minister of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have also attended TFUK’s invitation early in the summer of 2004 after the referendum took place in Cyprus on 24th. April and addressed the participants.
On the other hand,
TFUK arranged Turkish National Culinary Team’s participation in World Culinary Competition which was held in London in February 2004. Turkish National Culinary Team had been awarded several awards in different branches.
The first ever open air Turkish Festival ‘Turkishfest 2004’ was another successful event organised by Turkish Forum on 4th. Sept. 2004 at Southbank of London by Thames River which attracted over 70,000 visitors.
TFUK is also working on health, education and legal help issues.
Being a transparent and democratic organisation, Turkish Forum UK does not represent any political opinion, governmental institution or religion and dedicated to serve both Turkish and British Communities without profit making approach.
